Paramount+ profitable

Considering the cash drain these were not so long ago, it's remarkable that they are turning a profit now. Good thing for the owners.

Which is why Peacock is raising the monthly subscription fee next month by $3. The only reason I have Paramount+, is that it's free with my Walmart delivery subscription. Peacock and Paramount are the streamers I watch the least, due to lack of interesting content.

That will probably mean the end of my Peacock subscription, at least until next year's Olympics. I follow the Premier League but I' don't need to see every game. Guess I'll be subscribing and canceling on a month to month basis, unless they take that option away and force mandatory one-year contracts on everyone.

I don't know of any streamer even considering that, CT. That'd be a big leap and they'd probably lose their shirts.

Two years ago, I used to have three, for or more streaming subscriptions simultaneously, I'm now down to one all-year (HBO Max) and the rest I'll sign up for when a show we want to watch begins or returns.

Next up: Season 5 of "Only Murders in the Building" on Hulu September 9th. When that ends ten weeks later, I'll cancel and bring back AppleTV+ for "The Morning Show" Season 4 and we'll see where it goes from there as premiere dates get announced.

Does your NBC affiliate run Premier League games or not?
