Paramount Skydance Mass Layoffs to Start Week of Oct. 27

I don't know of that many people with a Paramount Plus subscription other than me, but know quite a few that have Hulu, Netflix, HBO Max, Prime.
Paramount+ is also part of the available services on Amazon Prime as is HBO Max. So some don’t have direct subscriptions.

I just find it funny how Paramount keeps trying to convince us that a growing audience is watching the UFC. The league peaked last decade, and hasn’t produced a meaningful star since. I don’t see how throwing billions of dollars to not have fights behind a paywall. CBS/Paramount/whoever was dumb for not re-upping their SEC football contract. No one ever brings that up.

I don't follow the MMA scene, but I noticed that SiriusXM changed its "Fight Nation" channel, which was mainly MMA talk with a few shows dedicated to boxing and wrestling (the "sports entertainment" type), to "Wrestling Nation" this past summer, with all MMA talk eliminated and one boxing show moved to another talk channel. Probably sour grapes by Disney over losing UFC rights, though. I remember how ESPN downplayed NASCAR and the NHL when they lost those properties to competitors.

Paramount+ has UEFA (soccer), as well as NFL games, so they don’t have all their eggs in one basket.
