If Jason Wolfe wants ratings (it seems he is PUSHING listeners over to WEEI) he should team up
Mark Parenteau with Tom Finneran. Before the wise guys here start saying The Two Felons think about
it for a moment.

Finneran this morning was a prime candidate for his nemesis Howie's THE WIZAHD OF UHZ contest.

Duh, uh, yuh...he was A W F U L. Parenteau knows how to speak, has heritage, and would definitely
attract controversial audience response.

Right now Finneran is DULL - he makes you long for commercials and then you change the station.

A ratings killer.

Finneran needs to be teamed up with a pro.

Ok so after all of your rambing about how RKO is horrible becuase they hired this"felon" Finneran etc, somehow you think that hiring Parenteau, another felon but one whose crimes are ten times more abohorent than any little scam Finneran may have pulled, somehow that is genius prorgramming because it would generate "controversy"?.

Please take notice, Varulven's credibilty (like he had any to begin with) is officially DEAD. Jesus if Hitler was his friend he would find a way to rationalize that he was just misunderstood and he had some personal demons.

FInneran may be a felon but he never admitted to raping anyone like Parenteau. How sad that someone would even suggest bringing him back!.
 
What Parenteau did was probably 100 times worse than what Finneran did. That's not the point. The point is that radio is chock full of sleazy Slimus Imus types, WBCN notorius for that kind of conduct. Towerbuzz acts
like Parenteau is the only one at WBCN who did that sort of thing - newsflash to Towerbuzz - Parenteau is the only one that got caught. A former WBCN jock/p.d. is or was recently in Thailand taking an alleged "college course". The dude is like 58 years old, do you really believe he's taking classes in Thailand, the education capital of the world? Please!

Towerbuzz is just looking for another reason to lash out at someone exposing radio for exactly what it is.
They don't hire talent, they hire puppets. Look at what happened to WBCN after Stern bolted. Stern was
to WBCN what The Red Sox are going to have to be to WRKO.

It was Stern and a bunch of no talents on a sinking ship. You read it here first: Stern goes, the ship sinks.

Parenteau and WRKO : a perfect fit and you know it. Dateline could have a camera on the Guest St. suites.
 
Finneran, and I know what he did, but, he is highly intelligent , but also very, very boring, the Good Old Boys Club.

I listen early when I can to Quinn and Rose and also Mike Barnicle.

Barnicle and Dan are interesting, discuss many topics. At least not pushing country music and losing a train of thought.
 
For starters I was not the only one to "lash out" at you virtually everyone who read this thread had something to say about it which was not pro Parenteau. In truth I did not even "lash out" at you. Varulven a salways confuses criticism of his off the wall ideas with a personal attack. You couldn't actually have thought that bringing up the name of an admitted statutory rapist, and convicted child molester would be met with a warm reception, did you?.

By the way your claim that the difference between Mark Parenteau and others is that Mark got caught speaks VOLUMES. You cannot defend his actions in anyway if you're a rational person or even try to rationalize that others have done the same. That's just desperate. Worst of all is the fact that Parenteau was never a good talk host, his topics were banal and just without any meat to them..."hey let's talk about yoru pets",.....garbage.
 
No offense, but I thought Parenteau's Saturday evening show on WRKO during the late 1990s was a TOTAL bore.

Stuck in NH? Huh, more like escaped from Taxachusetts.

Parenteau may generate controversey, but even Air America wouldn't stoop that low for ratings.
 
I agree with you there, Air America doesn't have to; WRKO has already started sledding on that slippery slope with Finneran and Howie "Think I'll trade in my wife for the salesgirl" Carr. So much for "family values" at RKO.

A resonable person would be hard pressed to equate anything Finneran was convicted of or Howie is alleged to have done with Parenteau's despicable crimes.
