Paris Hilton's "Nothing In This World"

Well, Paris is at it again. She has another hit out "Nothing In This World." When I first heard this song, I thought it was Hillary Duff singing. Even Hillary Duff is a better singer than Paris. I predict a fast rise, then a fast fall like "Stars Are Blind", maybe #20 (being optomistic). Still, Paris Hilton can sing like the Oakland Raiders can score touchdowns.

I predict that it went up to about 80 something and dropped like a cinder block three weeks ago.

I don't get it. Why do people like Paris Hilton so much? She's a talentless whore and a horrible role model, yet she is admired and put on a pedestal by so many people. Can someone please explain this to me? She really can't do anything aside from "acting" in pornographic films, so what makes her so appealing? She can't do anything of any worth or importance and she's very greedy and self-serving - tell me, is this someone that deserves all of this praise and adulation?

Well, on the subject of her song: It's utter garbage, and so is the video. She's a really awful, out-of-tune singer but I guess that's what people enjoy these days. Unfortunately, given the general bad taste of music fans in the U.S., I am predicting a much higher chart performance - Top 30 at least. My jaw hit the ground when I saw that her album actually debuted in the Top Ten - seriously, even William Hung is an improvement over this because at least he's genuine and a nice guy. We have reached a new low for the recording industry from which I really hope we can eventually rebound. I thought it couldn't get any worse than pop tarts like Britney Spears and horrific songs like "My Humps", but shockingly it has, and the masses have spoken - they're eating it up. Me? I'll go listen to bands like Mew, Silversun Pickups, and the new Sparta and Deftones albums when they come out. I wonder if people listen to Paris Hilton because they don't know of bands like this or because they actually enjoy such inane, subhuman moronic drivel.

That's the whole point right there. Sex sells, as much as we'd all hate to admit it. It doesn't matter how good her music is. It will sell as long as she's making sex videos and, really, being a whore. Although they are hell of a lot better than Paris, how did The Pussycat Dolls sell? Oh, by the way, there is ONE vocalist in the group. If Nicole would've done a solo album by herself, inus the sex image and minus the almost top-less clothes and what do you have? One of a million teaseless and innocent music albums. While many solo and group efforts have made it without sex, many do to hide their actual terrible and horrific music.

Good news, Oakland finally won! Bad news...that still does not mean Paris can sing.
