Here's a memory: in August 1982, after losing my full-time gig at WQVE (top 40 QV93, now WTPA), I got a part-time gig at WKBO. As I recall at the time, minimum wage was about $3.35 per hour. A middle of the pack "good" wage was $4.00 per hour for part-time and really well-paying stations paid their top part-timers $5.00 per hour. So you can imagine my surprise when PD Tim Burns said to me "will $6.00 an hour be OK?"
