Part-Time Work

Once again for newbies wanting to move to the South Florida region. Know what your getting yourself into. The prices I quoted in my eariler post are for the Wilton Manors/Middle River Terrace area. They are the highest because of the fact of the highest concentration of the gay population and dance clubs are there. Hollywood, Dania, and points West are average. 850 a month for a one bedroom and 950 for a two but remember you MUST make 3 times your rent if you rent from a larger group that owns a apartment complex. Unless you a arleady rich and can live on your savings or close to retirement or you have been lucky and found a job outside of broadcasting that's pays over 50k per year you might live paycheck to paycheck. I may suggest moving to the Asheville, NC area. Prices there are cheaper but no radio jobs there. Really folks if your reading this and you live here in South Florida let's speak the truth about our little paradise. Do make people learn on their own about how it really is here that's not right either. If this were 10-12 years ago a one bedroom apartment would have gone for 550 a month. But it's not it's summer of 2007 and the prises are rising because insurance rates just tripled and taxes on condo's and home just triped all because June 1st (hurricane season) will here in just a few weeks. Save your self time and your savings account and try somewhere else. Trust me you will happier.
