Quick bandscan. Most stations listed are assumed, and not identified from a station I.D. There was no skywave.
Traveling on I-10 headed west from Baton Rouge. 20 minutes after we left Baton Rouge, my wife decided she didn't want to drive...therefore no more bandscan.

I would say you can confirm that was KCTA just by looking at the AM frequency logbook.

20 minutes after we left Baton Rouge, my wife decided she didn't want to drive...therefore no more bandscan.

My wife's not a big fan of me band scanning, while we're in the car together, no matter who's doing the driving, LOL! Some of our 'better halves', just understand the passion of our little hobby. ;D

Nighttime would be more interesting

In this world, you take what you can get. I got about 25 minutes of DX time without a complaint.

Plus, I am way past the driving till I drop phase of life, so no night time highway DX.

I agree on KCTA.

Being from the band congested midwest, I was a little surprised at how many frequencies were silent during the day.
