Re: parts help any one

Man oh man... That's the harder part to find on those beasts. I had to replace several of those membranes in my fairly-long time of maintaining those beasts at the former job. I guess they have become Unobtainium eh? Does Comrex have them anymore?

Re: parts help any one

I think I remember something from Comrex some time back stating they had a few left, and when they were gone, they were gone. If there were a way to make the conductive rubber contacts conductive again. Cleaning them just makes them worse. Just like TV remote controls...

Re: parts help any one

So far all the condctive paints I've tried simply flake off. Leaving conductive debries in the contacts.

I'm experimenting with something else.
Get a roll of high-temp foil real duct tape.
Use a paper hole punch to make little dots of that foil tape.
Clean the bad pad with something like MEK.

So fare two surfaces have been in service for 4 months and one month.

That is a spectacularly creative solution.

I think the stuff Sandman sells is an epoxy with silver particles...hopefully a bit more durable. He stresses in his writeup that cleaning the old stuff off of where the epoxy is applied is imperative (Sandman suggests acetone as the solvent). I like your idea of using MEK...I think it smells better. ::)

Re: parts help any one we have two units so

I try each Ideas and see what works best thanks

Nobody else at work thinks so. ;)
After a few minutes I can't smell a thing so it doesn't bother me.

Got a few old membranes and am planning to see if I can make that epoxy stuff work.
