I was under the impression that JVC owned Party 101.5 outright.

If they did it would have never been allowed to translate 105.3 to begin with as 101.5 is not within 105.3 primary coverage area....Commerical owned stations cannot purchase translators in order to extend coverage of their primary signal (only non-commericals can).....The only way is if the translator is owned by someone else and they translate the commerical station for free with no money exchanged.....Remember the whole Jukebox Radio mess years back with 99.7 WJUX on translators 94.3 (Pomona) & 103.1 (Fort Lee)?

Barry said:It is impressive how well 10 watts can get out, when on a relatively clear frequency, such as 101.5. I am receiving in southern Westchester County WLTW on W268AN 101.5, just as clearly as 106.7. The RDS works too, though it is giving an incorrect call sign. The translator ID'ed in morse code five minutes past the hour.
The owners of the LI translator appear to be quite clever, as indicated by their F.C.C. filings for permission to convert their tiny translator signal carrying WLTW HD2 in Union City NJ to one that would cover a considerable chunk of NYC and the surrounding area. So they probably have a good reason for (temporarily?) carrying WLTW on 101.5.
But I do wonder why they are not broadcasting WLTW HD2 instead, like their sister NJ translator W296BT.
