Along with some "transmitter trouble" on Monday, they have new voice-overs. I really dont like them, they sound kind of stuffy, the old ones sounded better. Of course the best voice-overs were the ones they originally had.

Hey Tony. What are your thoughts on Party 105 playlist. Seems like quite a bit of HIp HOP. Tuning into to Party you certainly hear a lot more HIP HOP and yes even spanish music. Certainly a far cry from their intended format.

Ever since Andre left party the station has stunk, they hardly play the cutting edge dance tracks anymore. All pop or r&b remixes.
I miss the days when they played ATB, Kim Sozzi and other trance tracks.
And I really miss "in the mix" which used to be on 5-7pm Fridays. The cutting edge element is almost completely gone from the station, which is basically a cross between a hurban and rhythmic CHR with a few dance tracks.
I dont see the point, because you can hear all this hip hop on 106.1, 101.7, 93.7, 101.3,etc, no one's gonna listen to party's weaker signal for that, they need to be different or TMO is just burying a grave for themselves.

How do you call someone stupid when you CANT even spell URBAN!? It's all about CUME! A lot of people DONT like BLI and Party is still playing tracks that nobody else is. Mass appeal music = mass audience!

I've said this during Broadway Bill Lee's departure from 'KTU and I'll say it regarding Andre. Whenever a company lets go of a major person for a station, ten times out of ten and a half it is about change. Which is exactly what I feared with Andre's departure....that Party 105 is adding on more hip-hop and pop and the reggaeton type of stuff that wasn't there with less dance (or at the very best...."familiar" with very little of edgier material)
I can actually understand some of the change. Suffolk no longer has a hip hop station (as in the former WBEA - Blaze 101.7) so one "void" gets filled. Even though TMO has "Fiesta", I'm gathering they want to "expand" there by adding Spanish tracks onto Party 105. But from a core dance fan's perspective, it's like 2004 all over again when Party was extensive on hip-hop/R&B with no dance (before the flip to "Channelcast"). Yeah, they may have miniscule ratings...but then Party also has a miniscule signal...even with the 101.5 expansion. If Party had a signal that would cover the majority of the region with their rhythmic format...they would not only get good ratings out of it but NEVER would think twice about tweaking a format. And unfortunately for dance fans out there, should an even further change occur, it's hard to tune into Pulse on the radio.
And to that...it stinks because Party 105 was a fantastic station. Still can be. But with the tweaking going on, it's going to be a shame if current dance gets affected by this.

Party seemed a bit better this afternoon, I guess on weekends they are more dance oriented, actually heard "as the rush comes" and it's been a long time since I heard that. Weekdays are when it's at it's worst, particularly during Natalia and Nikki's shifts when 4 out of 5 songs is R&B, hip hop, booty music,etc.
