Party 105

How sad they downgraded the website. Blending it in with a newspaper website. CHEAP. They did have kick ass website few months ago with streaming.

Their old website was pretty cool, but many browsers had problems with it (especially when using a lower speed connection) the stream never really worked. The new ste is a bit cheap, & was better a few months back, but they got the most important thin right, THE MUSIC. The station right now sounds absoutley amazing.

Honestly, I dont know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Sure, they dont have the flashy site... but a least the local newspaper is interested in Party.. if they werent.. then they would be pimpin' the station as much as they are on their website.

If the Orlando Sentinel would have given WPYO this much press.. then Orlando would probably still have a dance station.

The site may not be as flashy.. but Im sure they are gaining something from it.
______________

Well not exactly. BY FAR the biggest local newspaper on Long Island is Newsday (which comes to my house every morning), the Long Island Press is basically an upstart paper with little support & they are owned by the Morey Organization (the same people who own Party 105 & their sister stations WBON 98.5 & WLIR 107.1 also on the east end of LI)

Yeah, it's a lot simpler than the old website but more often than not, that website for all its glitz crashed my computer a lot! Sometimes it's best to...as they say (meaning the site) "keep it simple, stupid!" :)

I hope they start streaming again. They have an awesome music selection. I got a chance to hear it for hours this Sunday afternoon because of tropo, and they play a lot of dance during the day. I remember when they played no dance songs for an hour earlier this DX season.
______________
