Party - 990 Auction

A previous post below talks of 990's assets being sold off. Several former employees have expressed interest in having a "Victims of Dave Schum" party to celebrate the fact that one of the worst owners may finally be run out of the market. Just wondering how many people may be interested in attending? And where should the party be held.

Yes, the idea of such a party might be tacky. But dozens of people were literally screwed out of a total of many tens of thousands of dollars. So perhaps a little tackiness is ok.

Suggested party locations so far - at the parking lot of Jerry Reynolds Ford (he was certainly a victim of Schum). Or at the Flying Saucer, where so much of the company's money was spent on Saturday night company beer busts.

Any other suggestions?

I would definitely attend...I second the Flying Saucer...
You can throw the tackiness out the window since so many talented and gard working people have been let down (to put it very mildly).
______________

Maybe a good time for the party would be shortly after the hearing to approve the sale on October 24th.

I also agree with the Flying Saucer.

... and the only reason I'm going to show up is to consume a pint or eight for Doc Bryce.
______________

I'll show up, and pour a little liquor out on the ground for my boy Stanglin. He was a loyal soldier, and deserved far far better than he got. It was a pleasure to drop in with him on his show, but I knew it was a doomed prospect from the jump.

I salute you guys. Good effort from all of you, and I enjoyed you while you lasted.

Filling in for Doc Bryce, Heeeeeeeeere's Bingo McGee Everybody!

You know, that might just be enough for me to make a trip back to Dallas, just for one last toast.

By the way, does any one know who we turn are old time sheets in to now? Oh, where do I pick up my Insurance card? I like to get my anal... I mean anual physical on my birthday now.

According to usually reliable sources, Dave Schum is telling people that the properties won't end up going to auction. An observer of all the court proceedings smells a rat. Round up the usual supect.

Since Mike Fisher is (I think) the only on-air person still there, I nominate Nate's Seafood Grill @ Midway & Beltline for the "end of the scum" party. It's a funky cajun place and if the weather is right, you can almost hear 990 after dark there.
