Party coming back??

Seems to me that Univision will bring Party back but this time on 105.3 FM since they changed the call signs from KPTI to KPTY. I dont see Univision bringing Tejano back any time soon, so if they dont put Party on that frecuency what else would Univision do with it? Maybe sell it or even simulcast a current station they already have.

It's called "parking the call letters."

105.3 is a horrible signal. If it ever comes back on, it would probably be bombarded by that country station north of Houston or even Magic 105.3 in San Antonio. I would only see Cox or CBS going the hip hop direction via 101.1, 96.5 or 106.9 (Cox).

Sir, please don't try to get my hopes up. That station's been on my mind recently for some reason.

Then again, you are right about Party probably returning on 105.3. That station was on that frequency in Galveston, if i recall a few years back. Therefore, if Univision does decide to bring the station back, and maybe make an effort to strenghten the signal, then Party would really have another chance.

Im not even gonna mention the lazy bastards at Cox, but if Mega's numbers keep continuing the trend they are going right now, then CBS could give it a try on 101 if Party wasn't coming back.

But for now, ill go back to Hot and The Box. Ill still keep an ear out though.

party coming back>>>> yes this is defiently gonna happen. I think it will be bigger than it was before if and only if they simulcast it with a good signal. 105.3 is a very weak signal.

now if mega flips... I can see the name already HIP HOP 101!!!!!

It would be great if Mega flipped to Hip Hop, but keep the Mega name on it. I like the name Mega!!

The new ratings came in. Que Buena's ratings dropped to a 1.9, the same number Party had when they flipped in March. Any lower, and Univision might do something. Now, im starting to have less doubts about Party returning ;D

Compare the cluster percentage of total Spanish shares.

Aw jeez, that's the frequency I'm using for my ipod FM transmitter...

I've given up on finding a good open frequency here! Distant signals clobber out open freqs. I will just have to invest in a new car stereo with an iPod interface or AUX jack.

The following is a list of places "Party" will not be returning to:

Houston.

If "Party" couldn't make a go of it from 93.3 or 104.9, why on earth would you put it on 105.3?

Same here... I use 94.9 sometimes also or 105.1 but whenever I drive across the city I will invariably have to switch to an alternate. From looking through Crutchfield, you can get a pretty decent one for around $135.

I'd research Beaumont and find out what the format holes are.

Thank you for asking. A For Sale sign would be first on my list.
Format wise, I follow the same thought path as David E. Find a format hole in the Triangle and run with it.

105.3 The Beat.
Speaking of the triangle area, i talked to some people in Port Arthur when Party went off. The station was pretty big over there.

I call BS. 105.3 couldn't be heard by Triangle residents unless they were at the beach. It is not needed here.
