I would listen to party more if they had at least a nice 64k stream,, their 20k stream is sooo 1997... With that said, Im glad party is relaunching to sound more like a true NYC Dance-party station...

I do hear a lot more dance today

I did too, at times, then they seque some annoying Hip Hop and Pitbull songs together. And that Wattaget...I cant even pronounce it but it belongs on Fiesta, not Party.

Sweet, they didn't mess with the mixes ;D
The new Party is awesome IMO, I hope JVC Media can make a contract with KSFV here in LA... just like how Pulse was going to be here but it didn't happen...

Had the same 20k stream since 2006. You would think by 2007 it would be upgraded :-\

How come Vic latino's neighborhood is in the afternoon instead of the mourning?

Because it's a smart move. This gives people who don't want to hear talk in the morning a chance to listen to nothing but music for at least half of AM drive. That in itself is a great alternative to what's out there. It also puts the stations biggest talent draw on the radio at the most listened to time of the day. Yes, 2 of the 3 most listened to times on the radio is now PM drive and not AM.

Not to mention that it gives Vic the chance at being able to handle the business end of the station during the day and get out to the clubs at night without running himself into the ground.

That's a smart move puttting Vic's show on the afternoon. It's a natural fit for him going back to his Party 95.3 days. And perfect timing for me as I read this in time to check it out today.

That last part must be a HUGE relief :) because I was thinking to myself, he does his morning show, then has to operate the business aspect afterwards, then run to his gigs at clubs? As busy as I could be, I'd think I'd die if i had Vic's schedule before the move to PM drive. :)

So people who like Rhythmic leaning music can now love the jams commercial free basically all morning... Last month KTU started doing more than hour commercial free starting like 8 or 8:30am hour... so now go bright and early on Party commercial free and then in the 8am hour you can flip it to KTU for more commercial free jams lol...

Too bad I'm on the air during that span most weekdays, or I'd tune in for that!

Yes, it isn't much different than what Pulse was doing, after the "Star & Buc Wild" show left, with the "87 at 7" commercial free mix. :)

Hopefully he'll use the time to catch up on the hot new dance songs, at least review Promo Only Dance Radio for pete's sake. The hip hop remixes are getting old.

I still hear very little actual dance music. For the most part it's rhythmic, hip, hop and hip, hop mixes. I suppose once one stops thinking of it as a dance station it isn't half bad. It sounds a lot like KTU aside from the hip, hop.

Not sure what you're talking about, I've been listening to it for the last hour and they sound pretty dance to me (along with hip hop remixes)... however I do have a question... what's up with the reception?? I used to get perfect reception on my home stereo here in Queens when it was Pulse and now it's not as clear as it used to be. Anyone know why? And will that change in time?
