Party Mega Jam

congrats to Vic and his entire crew at party 105, their mega jam yesterday was a huge success. Over 15,000 on site in front of their stage for the entire day.
It was nice to hear the old wxxp jingles during the 10th aniversary tribute mix.

You people frustrate the hell out of me...

TMO finally puts on a killer show that drew thousands eventhough it was at the balloonfest with a built in crowd, and there is only 1 comment on it. Thankfully it was a positive one... It seems to me that everyone on here only likes to bash and talk bad about that place. Why not show some love when they do something right! Mega Jam was a huge success. Congrats to Vic, TMO, and all who put in hours of time I'm sure to make this as big as it was!

weve all been critical of TMO, including me, so I will give credit where credit is due. Mega Jam was a huge success. True that alot of it may have been a built in crowd, but they may have won over some new listeners as a result of the show. There were several has been acts, but they certainly entertained. And they certainly had some current acts. I think they put on a good show. The show doesnt change TMO, but they do deserve credit for this. Im glad Mr Party 105 himself "RADIO DAZE" started this thread. Thumbs up TMO for a job well done.

Not even being a zit in the Long Island market, and having a lackluster Hamptons book-they are going to need any new listeners they can get!

I came to Mega Jam all the way from southern New Jersey, and I had a blast! It felt like the crowd was really into it, even though a lot of people aren't Party 105 listeners. It's nice that they had it outside instead of in a nightclub, because that would attract people who don't go clubbing. Many of the artists had current hits in rotation on Party 105, and the lineup was so much better than KTU's Beatstock. Mega Jam is one of the biggest dance music events in the country.
Let me put it this way, I would have not gone to a balloon festival (I skipped the NJ balloon festival) if it weren't for Mega Jam.

It must have been Bruce Sarafian the world record juggler, Shecky & the Twangtones and the ronald mcdonald showmobile that brought the crowds... ??? No credit to having over 15,000 people standing in front of the Mega Jam stage for most of the day. Whatever the reason people came to the Balloon Fest, they found themselves having a great time watching "hasbeens" on stage. let me think... were you even there on saturday???

lol, that's funny. No I wasn't there. If they put on a good show and people enjoyed it, kudos. I was pointing out that there was a whole event that was organized(also promoted by many other, bigger media outlets), not just mega jam. For dance music people it is a cool thing to go to. But, unless you are into that-the acts are unknowns. Most of them are just happy to be on stage anywhere, and would show up to the opening of an evelope. And to cap it off, I haven't seen a rapper carrying a baseball bat around since 19naughty3.

The acts aren't unknowns, some of them have major hits now, and some had hits in the 90s. And all the artists are getting played on 3 stations that can be heard on Long Island (87.7, 101.5, 105.3)

I am glad that MegaJam worked out to be a success! 15,000 people...wow!

I was at work so I couldn't go...but I did finally meet Vic at the DJ Expo in Atlantic City. Cool guy! I thought he was gonna kill me though! lol

um, that would be 2 stations. 3 frequencies, but just 2 stations. ::)

lol........

must agree, that was way funny! ;D

I'm pretty sure Party picked up quite a few new listeners from Mega Jam. Party is definitely taking on the reflection of the operations manager, Party is hustling and that's what Vic does best and what's made him who he is and gotten him to where he is. I was there and had an awesome time, just like everyone else there seemed to be. I'll admit things have changed and I couldn't be happier for Party and that group.

Yeah, Lady Gaga is such an unknown, no-name act. I enjoyed seeing her perform at Mega Jam 2008. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JHUgpOAFf0
