Another signal, a full air-staff, and no ratings. How long before this club promotion business goes bankrupt?
 
Are you kidding me? Do you listen to the station? Do you hear the commercials, or are you making a judgement on a Dec/Jan trend, that was up by the way! Arbitrends delivers monthly updates of radio station listening estimates between quarterly survey periods in all continuously measured markets. Estimates are based on a rolling average. This is NOT a rating point or rating period.

I am all for telling ranking on them when they do something that, in my opinion, is not the right thing, but come on. They put the new signal on in the middle of January so this trend was about two weeks of it.
You really hate them don't you? It has clouded your vision my friend. Because if you want to talk fact - MJC should be shut down and you should not waist the LIPA bill, Beach is just a wreck of a station, the only spots they have are from EHM and I'm sure are free, PLJ, my god I'm sure they can't pay the bills.

I think Party sounds great. Good mix, nice to hear REAL jocks all the time. A great morning show!
As far as LI goes, BLI keeps it interesting, good music, but jocks are too pre programed. What else is there?

Beach is just a wreck of a station-, the only spots they have are from EHM and I'm sure are free-Are you sure they are free? If I don't know not being there, how would you? I do know in the east end book which is published, they did very well. I can only comment on what is out there to view.

That's right. Why don't you stop judging party105 and shut up! Let the club bangers, including myself, have their day in the sun. I for one tune in regularly love the programming especially the mixes and the talent. You're probably at KT-geta clue listener or worse a BAB listener which is the WORST excuse for a rock (choke) station. BLI too predictable.

Couldn't agree more!!!

TMO is barely alive thanks to Vic but unfortunately they are taking on water and as great as Vic is, it's only a matter of time before they start going under...

ads are mainly clubs other than the clubs the accounts that aren't TMO owned are small accounts that can't be bringing in much.
Perhaps they're surviving on the ESPN on WLIR deal. if that is the case then they'll remain afloat paying jocks minimum wages and at minimum wage all you can get is jocks that'll plug clubs.

I will agree dance music fans (as myself) should be allowed to have their days in glory cause they maybe short lived.

I see lots of discussion about revenue, but none about expenses. The TMO conglomerate is run extremely lean (to a fault, I know). The overhead is low likely due to shared resources, low staff counts, and low salaries. Their websites are a simple template and easily maintined in-house. 107.1 is basically rented. I'm guessing it doesn't take much revenue to keep these guys afloat.
 
As I've said in other posts, I am convinced that when Radio Daze says they, it really means we. There is no doubt that Radio Daze is a TMO Cronie. In fact I wouldn't doubt if Radio Daze was at the helm. I too have given much credit to TMO for their moves as of late. The problem is that the station is top heavy with egomaniacs. They are notorious for their lack of people skills and as a result suffer tremendous turnover. Their lack of desire or inability to pay for quality talent is transparent at best. Mr Latino brings alot to the table and is probably the only saving grace for TMO at this point. The remaining jocks dont bring anything to the table. And if you are not willing to pay for talent, you wont get any. Im sure the same is true of their sales staff. When you hear a break and the break consists of Maxwell and Dunne, Whitehouse and Matteos (all properties owned by TMO and Vic Latino), that says that they have chosen to have warm bodies that they can pay next to nothing or they have no staff at all. La Fiesta is also turning out to be a spanish Party 105. With the exception of Compare Foods on Fiesta, there are no advertisers that are of any consequence. A few clubs, including Amber Night Club, which I understand Mr Latino also has a hand in. So please spare me the pyscho babble Radio Daze. If TMO wants to capitalize on the opportunity they have their hands on, they need to start respecting their competition, their vendors, and their employees. They also need to start paying for true talent, whether it be on air, sales, or support staff. TMO's reputation precedes them when it comes to keeping employees.

Wow then I'm not the only one that see right through the synthetic "buzz" about being so "great" and doing well. Are they the only ones in denial? are they the only ones that believe that they'll be able to continue doing things the way they are and still be successful?
