Passing of Mike Osterhout

Is everyone on these boards too young, (or too old), to acknowledge the passing away of Michael D. Osterhout on June 26 in Augusta Ga. Mike was CEO/GM of Edens Broadcasting
during the heyday of the original Q- MorningZOO in Tampa. Mike was a true visionary &
innovative genius. Sure, his personality was not for everyone, but Mike was a true broadcaster of a by-gone era. At the time of his passing, due to cncer, Mike was C.O.O of Morris Communications in Augusta.

Sorry to hear of Mikes passing, I tried to hire Mike as a sales rep for WQSR before he went to Q-105, what an amazing job he did there. Mike was a great guy, was always sorry I didn't get to work with him.

I worked at Edens during Mike's days with the company. He was a special broadcaster.
He helped make Q105 the legend it was. RIP. :(

Mike was GM during my 2 years at Q105 in the mid 80s. Q105 would never have become the legend it was/is had it not been for this guy. He was a huge believer that programming drove ratings and did not hesitate to seek out the best and pay them accordingly. A born leader who loved the medium. Very sad at his passing.

Wow, hadn't heard. Worked for Randy Kabrich and Mason Dixon at the Q in the 80s during his days as GM. Sad to hear of his passing.

Could anyone interested in or wanting to contribute information toward an obituary on Michael Osterhout please contact me today (Wednesday 6/30) at the St. Petersburg Times, direct line 727-892-2248? Thank you for any assistance. I am working on a deadline. Would like to hear from anyone he worked with, or anyone who has contact ideas.
