Passing of the Legendary Bob Spicer

I learned recently that the multi-talented Bob Spicer has passed on. I had the pleasure of working with Bob while I was at WRKO/WROR and then again during my time at Greater Media. He was a true radio pro and a great guy.

Bob Spicer spent more than 30 years in radio and television. His experience included on camera news anchor at KOMU-TV in Columbia, and at KOLR-TV in Springfield. Bob also wrote and reported news, which he picked up while stationed with the US Army in Alaska. He’s held the position of Creative Services Director for a five station radio conglomerate in Boston (Greater Media). Bob also owned and operated his own freelance production company, where he wrote and directed radio and television advertisements on a regional and national level. Bob graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.
