Point of clarification.....103.5 WOKV was Top 40 before it went disco. Pat worked at the station when it was Top 40. I'm not sure if he was there during the first weeks/months of the disco format or not, but I'm almost certain that he was gone once they fully settled into the "Disco 103 and a half" era.

I thought Rock 104 was a pretty good station at that time.. 103.5 did simulcast WCIN for a few months prior to going Chr/urban as WBLZ.

When I first came to work in Cincy in 1976, I was checking out the competition...heard this guy on Q...for the life of me, I could not make out his name. Maybe it was the smashed processing, or the way he pulled his voice. I called my PD, and asked "Who is this "Pig Bay" guy?"

Here's a question:
I was talking with someone the other day who didn't know that Pat Barry used to be a Q DJ. What were the years that Big Ol' Funky Pat Barry was on WKRQ?

Thats funny. I remember when there used to be bands or concerts played down at Coney Island, probably on Friday nights, sometime in the 70's...me and my buddy used to just climb the fence to get in (well, we did it once). I remember Pat seeing us do it from a distance and kinda yelled "Hey, what are you doing over there?" I can't remember what happened after that but I imagine we out ran him, if he even ran after us.

It was hilarious.
