Pat Caputo, the longtime Detroit sports columnist and radio host whose gravelly voice and encyclopedic sports knowledge made him a fixture on Michigan airwaves for decades, died Thursday after battling
Longtime Detroit Sports Talk personality Pat Caputo, late of The Ticket and many outlets before that, who was also a 30 year plus columnist for the Oakland Press and it's sister publications like the Royal Oak Daily Tribune and the Macomb Daily passed away from his previously disclosed cancer last week at a too young 67 years of age.
Affectionately known as 'The Book' for his extensive knowledge of current and past Detroit sports figures and stats, Caputo was a longtime significant presence in Detroit sports. May he RIP.
