Ironic, considering all the Pollyanna-ish spots he's voiced on Jack FM talking about "what's good with the Houston economy" and "share with us your positive business story."
 
Pollyanna-ish? How about it was the only GOOD thing I have heard in six months! What creative liner have you contributed? Don't you worry. Pat Fant has not been in this business for so long based on his air checks (altough they are brilliant). It's what you don't hear that you should really envy.
 
I wonder if that means changes are coming.

Maybe the reason was this and try to stay with me Mediafrog. Maybe Cumulus corporate didn't feel he was the right person to lead the cluster in this difficult economy. Most, not all, of you guys are great conspiracy theorists. Continue.

It didn't have anything to do with his voice, and I'm a person who can't stand the sound of my own voice.

To me the spots smacked of the Phil Gramm "Stop all the negativity/There's nothing wrong with the economy/You're all a bunch of whiners" mentality that I find particularly annoying. Just though it was odd that he would be out the door after trying to put a positive spin on the financial climate.

No conspiracy theorist here, although sometimes such people make great entertainment, even if they are total whack jobs.

Seems to have solid Hispanic targeted radio experience...change in demographic emphasis for the Houston cluster? The two eastern rimshots would do well for the more heavily Hispanic areas of the Houston market...and KRBE is a full market signal.

Perhaps David Eduardo could shed some insight?
 
Remington is a pal of the Dickey boys. He was a regional DOS back at the turn of the century when their stock went from $55 to $14 because of some "accounting errors" He was a regional DOS back then...brash, rude, arrogant, runs with the bulls in Spain, etc.

God help them in Houston.
