Pat Sajak Is Not A Fan Of Keith Olbermann

In fact, the "Wheel of Fortune" host now regrets "introducing Keith Olbermann to America" on his now-defunct late-night talk show twenty years ago:

Sajak is taken aback by how much of a "bitter-sounding, hate-mongering name-caller he's become."

As expected, Olbermann responds with his own repartee

I think if he needs to apologize for anything it needs to be that talk show. When he was canceled, he was replaced by a crime-and-skin series called “Silk Stalkings,” for God’s sake. Obviously we guests must’ve really stunk.

Hey, I wonder if the producers of "Wheel of Fortune" are going to suspend Sajak for a couple of days?

My feeling has always been if one doesn't like what a TV or radio commentator has to say, then change the channel.

While I don't agree with Olbermann's politics, there are times the guy is darn right funny with his comments. Also I will support his right to say what he wants too as part of freedom of speech.

Why is Pat Sajak saying anything? He is a long-running host of a wildly successful game show.

All he did was manage to dredge up long-gone memories of his FAILED talk show. That and saying negative things about a reasonably popular (2nd in rating) cable tv host.

Regardless of which side of the aisle you 'lean' to, Olbermann does come across as exactly that, a bitter-sounding, hate-mongering name-caller.

It's one thing to occasionally go off on a rant, deserved or otherwise, but he and his counterparts Beck and O'Reilly are little more than spoiled children in adult skin.

While Sajak's show was nothing to brag about...he can't have an opinion, but Olbermann can?

ok, then....

Sajak is talking about it because he's an out-front conservative, and has been blogging about his views for years. No, he doesn't talk politics on Wheel (that would be stupid), but he doesn't hesitate off the air.

None of this should come as a surprise to anybody.

Which hardly precludes him from expressing opinions on other topics now and then.

No, but, game show hosts usually remain agnostic from a political perspective. Believe it or not, I had no idea of Pat Sajak's politics. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions!

However, it may influence whether I choose to watch Wheel of Fortune in the future.

I would like it if "Wheel of Fortune" started a new "bailout" feature for contestants that land on "bankrupt". ;D
