Patriots/Jeopardy

I'm a big Patriots fan. I'm also a big Jeopardy fan. They're not mutually exclusive. Channel 4 runs a pre, pre, pre game show on Friday nights during football season, which doesn't really interest me, but even if it did I would still want to watch Jeopardy. I think they run the Jeopardy episode at 2:00 AM or some time. Some of us don't have DVRs and I probably wouldn't remember to watch it anyway.

Jeopardy has been on forever. It must have a pretty large following. I don't understand why Channel 4 couldn't run Jeopardy on TV38 at 7:30 on Fridays or have the football show on Saturday nights at 7:30 or run the Friday Jeopardy show at 7:30 on Saturday night instead of the re-run of Jeopardy that they run.

I, too, love Jeopardy and hate living in the Mountain Time Zone when Jeopardy is on at 4:30pm. However, you can't miss Jeopardy for ONE night a week during the football season?!? Either get a DVR or email WBZ and suggest that they move it to 38 on Fridays during football season.

The football season is about half the year, depending on how far the Pats go in the playoffs (Sept-Feb). I kind of hoped that by posting on this board someone at WBZ might take note of my request. I'm sure that I'm not the first to bring it to their attention.

Do you live in an area where you can pick up the Providence stations? If so, watch it on CH12 at 7:30.
No luck. I'm in the Worcester area. We get channel 10 but not 12.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but Jeopardy is being pre-empted tonight for the "State of the City" address by Mumbles Menino. I don't seem to remember this happening before. Has this been televised in the past? Or is it because it might be this embarassment's last one? The Pats are one thing, but a sleazy politician with a speech impediment is something else. Is the entire WBZ area supposed to be interested in things that only affect the city of Boston?

Maybe WBZ feels it's important enough to air. They are after all licensed to serve in the community's best interest, right? Not living anywhere near Boston, I don't know if this address usually airs anywhere else in Boston, like public access cable, but they must have their reason. Sorry it will interrupt "Jeopardy".

Thank wu.

I don't think you understand. This is MUMBLES MENINO. He can't make it all the way through a complete sentence without screwing something up. Even the people who voted for him 5 times think he's a joke.

Oh, I do. Hence the "thank wu" at the end of my comment. Thanks to Howie Carr I understand Mumbles just fine. Look at it this way ArtSpooner, it will give Howie a ton of material. But why on WBZ, I can't answer. Why not put it on WSBK? Maybe they'll put "Jeopardy" on 38. Good luck to you.

Jeopardy! Will air on WBZ at 1:37am tomorrow morning, just as they do with patriots all access. And yes, this airs every year at this time of year, it's happened before.

On a similar note, I remember years ago when WHDH was home to both Wheel and Jeopardy, if there was a special event happening at 7:30, they would preempt Wheel and just air Jeopardy at 7:00. I never understood why they did that, but I'm assuming it was because Jeopardy got better ratings than Wheel.

Only channels 4 & 5 covered Mumbles last night. I guess 7 and 25 can't imagine that anyone could listen to that bufoon for 30 minutes.
