Pats highlight over Red Sox?

Rather than lead with highlites from the Red Sox in perhaps the most important and exciting game of the year, ch:6/WLNE chose to start it's 11:20pm sports with a rundown on the Pat's exhibition victory, Friday evening. A win, in which NE did not play star QB Tom Brady.
If this was sportscaster Don Coyne's choice it was a poor one,but not surprising.

Thats a total matter of opinion. Not being a red sox fan, but being a Patriots fan, I personally think its an excellent position.

However looking at it practically it makes sense as well.

It's the first Pats game since last year's victory. So it is important for all the Pats fans throughout the summer who have been looking forward to it.

Just about all the channels I watch lead with their local pre-season football game.

Another major factor is that the Red Sox play 162 games per season, as compared to the Patriots' 20something. I think it was the right call. A dynasty is back on the field.

wow, I didn't think anyone watched channel 6, let alone Don Coyne's 3-minute sportscast.

Yes, and in Boston CBS 4 hardly covered the Patriot's game because CBS/4 was shut out in Pat's game coverage. Guess its all comes down to the phrase , "don't get mad; get even."
