I know we talk about this every year but the Pats-Panthers local broadcast really showed why the Champs are chumps when it comes to TV producing. It is even more apparent when you see other local broadcasts on the NFL Network. Get rid of those guys in the "studio," get network announcers and a production crew that actually looks like they have done football before.

Kraft could just pay CBS to produce the game for them and still use some of the WBZ TV Sports guys pre and post game.

I never understood why preseason is produced locally. I think it should be treated as a regular season game air the games on Saturdays and Sundays. Unless the regular announcers have other commitments? Just my thought.

Preseason doesn't draw enough ratings to justify more than a couple of games on each network (they need practice, too).

Besides, this is the only time that the teams control their own TV broadcasts. Most of the local broadcasts I've seen on NFL Network are strictly Kool-aid, and bowing reverently in the direction of ownership and the coaches. Very little to no criticism allowed.
