Patti Page dead at 85

According to her publicist, the "Singing Rage" who ruled the airwaves in the 1950s with pop and country classics like "The Tennessee Waltz," "(How Much Is That) Doggie in the Window," and "I Went To Your Wedding," passed away on New Year's Day at 85. She was to have received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy next month.

While Patti Page may not be the first artist one thinks of when thinking of '50s and '60s Top 40, she did continue to have hits even after the advent of rock and roll, and her final Top 10 hit, "Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte," was in 1965.
