Paul Allen

Paul Allen pased away Monday December 5th. after fighting a long battel with M/S. Paul was in Memphis Tenn. in a rest home for the past several years. Paul worked at WGBG Greensboro, WCBX Eden, WBAG Burlington, WMFR/WMAG High Point. Did some time at Channel 48. Might have worked at a few more I dont know about. Paul was a great programmer whose small market stations were some of the best. Anyone who worked with him had nothing but respect for him. Pauls brother is Larry Allen who has been the engineer at many TRIAD stations. Also Paul gave Rick Dees his first job at WGBG Greensboro so that would be just one of his impact's on Radio. No obit yet but I will post as soon as the arrangements are made.

Myself and many others will miss you my friend!

Wes

Sorry to hear this! Thanks for posting, Wes!

BIGAPE!

So sorry to hear this. In high school, he and Larry had a pirate station and it even had PAMS jingles & reverb! And Rigdon will be forever grateful.
