PAUL & AL'S "LEAVE IT TO DEPETRO"

Paul and Al just gave me a reason to start liking them again...lol. The impressions sucked, but that bit was well written. My favorite line was:

Now boys... go upstairs and fill out those fake diaries and make sure you spell my name right. It's D-E-P-E-T-R-O. (then Beaver says)... shouldn't that be D-O-U-C-H-E B-A-G .

Hahahaha..... good work guys. That did make me laugh. John's best bet is to get out of town while he can. Maybe a station in Topeka should be his next stop. I don't think anyone else in town is going to hire him after WPRO throws him out of the building. I'll even go as far as saying that he should take his WPRO front door key off his keyring this weekend and just have it ready to hand over sometime this week.

I honestly hate when people get fired. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. But I can already see the writing on the wall and I can't picture WPRO or Citadel letting him get away with this. I just can't imagine it.

Their impressions always suck but that's the point I think.
And to think they had Arlene escorted out of the ghetto penthouse by the police.

I like when Paul does the impressions. When Al does them it sounds too much like Al.
Also, I've also wondered....

When Loren & Wally use a song for a bit, you can't hear the original lyrics under it. But when Al does it, you can hear the original lyrics under his voice. For example the "Little Rhody Here Comes my Son, it's Paaatrick" you can hear the regular song in it. Are Loren & Wally just better produced/ better gear, or do they just put more effort in?

Better resources. They're probably using Karaoke CDs

Paul and Al may just be using a vocal remover which many computerized audio programs do. I primarily use Goldwave which has that feature. But it's far from perfect. 9 out of 10 times you'll still end up with some low vocals left in the song. A well produced Karaoke CD will typically sound much better.

What exactly do you use in goldwave to achieve this effect?

Go to the upper tab and click on effect. Then in the Dropdown box click on Stereo. Then click on Reduce Vocals. That's it! The song must be in Stereo for this to work. Mono tracks won't work. Unfortunately Stereo tracks will give you widely varied results. Most songs by The Beatles seem to work great though. It all depends how the original track was recorded.

This audio is now gone. The link does bring you to the Paul and Al media player and there's a list of audios to choose from but not this one. I doubt Paul and Al decided to remove it. Maybe DePetro complained or CC management just decided it's better to get it off the site?
