Paul "Boom Boom" Cannon passes

Paul Cannon who programmed KISS 98.5 from the mid to late 80s died this Tuesday at his home in Danielson, CT. Many KISS greats worked under Paul's direction including Rocky Allen, Kid Kelly, Mike McGowan, Dave Universal and Janet Snyder among others during his time in Buffalo.

The highly-regarded Cannon went on to other programming gigs in Providence, Hartford and Springfield in the years that followed. He left the radio business in 2007 and had been working as an Area Sales Manager for Schwan's Home Food Service. While the cause of his death is undetermined at this time, he supposedly had battled cancer a couple of times in recent years.

Condolences to those who worked with Paul during his Buffalo years.
