Paul Mitchell

Back in 1973-74, I worked as a jock for Paul Mitchell who programmed ABC's KXYZ in Houston. When the format flipped from Easy Listening to Rock, Paul was let go. He was from Philadelphia and I think he returned there after his job ended in Houston. Does anybody know anything about him now? Mike Marshall

Mike,

Paul was Program Director for a very short time at WPEN in Philly around 1980-81. I was an air talent at the time, and although Paul was a nice enough guy,
the "fit" was just not right for him or the station. I think he lasted about 6 months. Paul passed away a few years later. He had been in very poor health.

Just so we're clear, this is not the same Paul Mitchell who sells shampoo?

Charlie, Thanks for the reply. I'm not surprised to hear that he passed away. He was very overweight and developed diabetes when he was here in Houston. He was the most focused, dedicated PD I ever worked for.
