Paul & Phil Officially Over-How Will They Do In Their New Roles?

Were Paul & Phil the longest running morning team in Sacramento Radio History? It's truly amazing how long they lasted as a team. While they'll both continue working for CC Sacramentoone has to wonder how they'll do in their new roles? It most cases long running teams that break up see one going on and the other dropping off the face of the earth. London & Engleman come to mind with Engleman disappearing, and London's career, while long lived, may have finally cooled. As I recall Lohman & Barkley went their separate ways and Roger Barkley seemed to to much better than his longtime partner even though Al was paired with Gary Owens for some time at KFI. It was actually a good show. Al & Gary worked quite well with each other.

My guess - Paul will do just fine alone. The demographic that listened to Paul & Phil will likely listen to him and his "friends" on Y92 now.Phil, however, is in a tougher situation. The same demograhpic that listens to the morning show will likely not listen to talk radio. And Rush will prevent him from getting an audience of his own from your typical talk radio listeners.

That's true, but since Phil is working for another Clear Channel station that may not hurt his ability to stay employed. Furthering his career may be in question.
