Paul Robins returns!

And I remember a time when I was growing up in the 1970's, I used to watch CAPTAIN MITCH and the assorted CARTOONS (LOONY TUNES/POPEYE/SPEED RACER/UNDERDOG,etc.) and THE THREE STOOGES on KTXL in the mornings. In fact, that used to be the bread and butter for Then-Independent TV Stations. Now all of the former INDIES like 40, 31 and 58 has News based Shows. I feel sorry for children who's parents don't have cable. I guess its PBS for them. ::)

Yup, Sam...the days of having a Cap'n Mitch on local TV {or Bob March's Captain Satellite
on KTVU 2} are long gone, and don't appear to be coming back... :-[
And now, since you mentioned Mitch Agruss, it's time to meander further off-course from
this thread's original theme ;D , in case folks don't 'member the good Cap'n:

P.S. - after a stint as news reader on 97/KWAV, Monterey, I hear March is now living
in the Sacto area...
