Paul Westcott leaving WTAG

Paul Westcott is leaving WTAG-AM 580 in Worcester for a job outside the radio business. Friday morning will be his last show. According to Jordan Levy, PM drive host at WTAG, they will be using fill-ins for the morning show until Clear Channel hires a permanent host.

One of the few CC AM stations in New England that is live & local in both morning and afternoon drive.
 
Sebastian (long time Hartford radio vet) filled in this morning at CC's WTAG-AM 580 & FM 94.9 and will be doing so again tomorrow morning from 5 - 9 a.m.

I also posted this on the Connecticut board because of his long association with Hartford radio.

The station is doing "tryouts" while they decide who to hire permanently for a.m. drive. Previous hosts, Paul Wescott & Jim Polito, have been very political primarily talking about local and national issues. Sebastian let it be known this morning that he doesn't do politics. He must have been quite a shock for long time listeners of the station although someone like Sebastian could help AM radio "survive" for awhile longer.
