I heard on the radio ( Estereo Latino 102.9) that Paulino Bernal will be here in houston Sunday! He will be in Escapade 2006! So? Is that your question? Ok well Escapade is a big and famous club and if Paulino Bernal is going to be there he must had paid alot of money!! So my question is, why is he coming to houston? Is he trying to see how many fans he has here? Could he be planning to buy a station here?

Paulino Bernal already has K201EU 88.1 out of Katy, but that signal misses most of the Hispanic demos in greater Houston.

You would think they'd be able to buy or lease one of the lesser AM's in the market. They've built their network by flipping basket case stations throughout Texas and New Mexico.

He was probably hired by Escapade as a special appearence guest (in other words, a back up for the main event)

Paulino Bernal owns nothing but translators around the state of Texas and New Mexico (calfironia as well I believe), Now tell me, what translator is up for sale that covers the Houston area? He has zero chance of owning a radio station in Houston, unless he finds a way to trick Radio aleluya into selling, (trust me it could happen, these Spanish Christian radio stations are good at "hustling" people's money)

Owning a station in Houston, zero chance. Buying air time from a brokered station, maybe, but I doubt it.

Actually most of Bernals stations are commercial although he simulcasts his programs on the non-comms he also owns.

His network includes KUBR-AM in the valley and KVOZ in Laredo, both 10,000 watt AMs, hardly translators.

But I agree he ''preys on '' not ''prays for'' a lot of desperate people who have better things to do with their money than finance his empire.
