Pawn Stars/Impractical Jokers on AMG TV?

I see that AMG TV are airing Pawn Stars, Sanctuary and Impractical Jokers? How does a channel like this get rights to these recent fairly high profile series? Are they broadcast rights? This is a channel most people don't realise exists and by the website/logo it's seems cheap and dated. How do they end up on a channel like this? Like you wouldn't see these shows on the subchannels and they wouldn't be able to acquire the rights or could they?

It depends. Pawn stars has been in production for 8 years and 14 seasons. So it's possible that the first few seasons are now available for outside syndication. They've been shows almost continuously on History and several other channels.

Trifecta Entertainment syndicates both shows. Much like Sony Television, they really don't deal in 'exclusives' as far as stations in a market, or cable and diginets. As long as you agree to carry the national advertising, and you've got a few bucks, ya get their stuff! :)

Both shows are on WBBJ CBS 7.3 for when there is time in the middle of an hour long Me TV show that needs to be filled. They STILL aren't doing anything to make Me TV full time.
