PAX to become "i"

Does anyone know more about this?
Will they be getting the AFL and AFL2 games of the week?

aye aye Captain?

Their revolving 'eye' reminds me of a lighthouse; or is it the thing that decends from the spaceship in "War of The Worlds". Both versions.

Or are they attracting more viewers towards the rocks of oblivion?

Who owns it now?

There are many posts on this if you search back a bit...

Re: Inquiry about Status of this

Oddly enough, at least in metro Boston, the bug for PAX is in the lower left corner and the "i" is in the lower right. It's present through all of the programming (at least when I check - I never really watch PAX) and has apparently been there since the switchover took place.

It's as if the network can't decide who it wants to be. Anyone else notice this - or is the affiliate inserting the "PAX"?

This is a common problem around here, actually. People post without even looking to see if the subject already has been discussed.

And the feed to TW Rochester, which I believe is from the iPAX station in Batavia.

If the number of people who have posted about 'Pax vs. i' actually WATCHED the channel(by either name)...it would probably become the most-watched television broadcaster in the world.

AFAIK, the network is staying co-branded during July, its month of re-branding from PAX to i.
Starting August 1st, the i branding should be used exclusively on both the analog and primary digital stream of current Paxson O&O stations. The PAX branded channel will remain on "select cable systems" (possibly also some satellite systems?) and as a subchannel on Paxson DTV O&O stations.

I wonder how few viewers the "PAX" stream will be left with, since it won't benefit from must-carry? Seems as if the i network will get the majority of whatever viewers might be left.
