PC Fall Book

Well, scroll up to the top and click on "ratings," then scroll down to market #239 and get the full scoop.

In general? CC's Dynamic Duo continue their 20-year roll... Magic gets the next batch of radio buys... and Uh-Oh gets what's left.

Very little movement, in fact several of the same ties as last time including the Barn Burner between EyeLand and the Great 108 for CHR honors (though for either one, trying to sell from the #8 spot in a town of 40,000 ain't exactly an "honor." More like a "horror"). "Hey, We're Number Eight!" "No, We're Number Eight!" LOL!!!!!

Nice debuts (?) for Smooth Sports or whatever they're calling it, and the latest/greatest version of "WFLA." Though, again, selling spots on something that far back in the pack in market #239 isn't something you'd wish on your own child... somebody else's kid, maybe--but only if you hate 'em!

WFLA is a very blah name brand. it sounds like it covers all of florida when it doesn't. it's a station outside of tampa.

since the panhandle can't handle MW that well, i'd say kill all of the 1,000 watters and spring up for an IBOC (what was it.. $200K?) and then you can be on one vs 5 daytimers which barely covers your city of license.

i think you can have up to 5 digital side channels too.

once the iboc receivers go below $100 bucks i'll buy one. still thinking about buying a beam and a nice receiver for monitoring the airwaves.
saw a sony one that's nice!

extra HD channels on AM?
ask cceng to 'splain it to ya.
good luck.

btw...WLFA 970 AM is licensed to Tampa...not some small city outside of Tampa Bay.
"WLFA" is a brand for a few CC N/T stations.
ask cceng to 'splain that, too.

Romer.....I have tried many many many many many many times to explain various things to rob....it is a looooooosing battle. I wouldn't even want to try to get into a conversation on here about IBOC or CC "branding" their news-talk stations as WFLA......no back to our regular programming.

CCENG

last line should read "now back to our regular programming" for some reason, it wouldn't let me modify the original message.

I hope WFLA or whatever it is doesn't run sports for your sake. Especially Gator football. Radio on the Gulf Coast sux, you know.

I do miss the days of robs first posts when he didn't even know what state he was in. Or country. Or probably planet.
