ALL ACCESS has learned from reliable sources that longtime INFINITY Hot AC KLLC/SAN FRANCISCO PD JOHN PEAKE has resigned, and that today is his last day. More details, soon.

Could this mean a format flip on 97.3? It's about time that frequency really did something.

Let the speculation begin...

Oh no you didn't!!

Don't ask for speculations on this board.

That just invites only1deejay to return with his usual "Doghouse-Wild-K101-Chis Lance" crap posts.

One thing that doesn't need speculating:

His contract expired and they didn't come to an agreement during the negotiation period so he left. The APD is taking over in the interim.

This station's problem is that it has an extremely loyal audience --hard core P1 listeners, particularly in morning drive-- who are very attractive to buyers. It has just never been able to build out beyond that. You can theorize as to why, but an extreme makeover is unlikely at this point, especially with two other stations in the cluster undergoing changes and a third station replacing Howard Stern. Changing Alice to something else at this point would be a very dramatic business decision.

I got a good laugh too, Gerry, so for once we won't fight.

I propose, in fact, that anytime we want speculation to stop about any future format flips, someone post "Doghouse. CHR."<P ID="signature">______________
