Paul Allen owns this station, so naturally the Hawks and Trail Blazers are part of the plan.

It wouldn't be that hard for 97.3 to go all-sports with the Hawks and Mariners. And I think you'll see it happen soon. In my humble opinion.

First off, they shouldn't have changed to B 97.3 and this tweaks they did with it. It was better off as 'Good Times, Great Oldies 97.3 KBSG". Why is it supposedely oldies can't work in the Puget Sound? It's one less choice of music. KIXI 880 sold out to that 'Music of Your Life' syndicated service which sounds horrid. Now you want to kill off KBSG to make it a sports talk station? You got Fox Sports Radio 850 KHHO, 950 KJR , and Northsound 1380 - ESPN Radio. Doesn't seem worth it.

I find it funny that this is just now coming up,
Jammin in portland has been "teetering" in this decision seince febuary.

As far as that being a smart move? Its not. However its another case of
picking up the bird (fox sports) to cut back its "local" Expenses.

This will only help Z100! Which is by far a Million times better than our KISS-FM
Programming wise. Which is unfortunate. But True.

The big winner will actyually be MOVIN in Portland. z-100 is ten times the station of KISS in Seattle which is why MOVIN has had such an easy time in Seattle and a tough time in PDX. The end of Jammin will send the younger demos to Z and the older women to MOVIN for the ya ya beat. Trust Mamma on this.

Ya ya Funny. Which station wins in Portland: MOVIN as I told you just didn't tell you how: which is a combo of Movin/Jammin on the MOVIN frequency. that leaves z-100 with a bunch of pop loving teens that love jonas brothers and hannah montana. looks like Mamma got it right again just not what you all thought. Mamma proves again she does know best!

It looks like Mamma is right: MOViN' 107.5(KVMX)/Portland will become Jammin' 107.5 (The "New" KXJM) Monday (May 12th). And already "The Playhouse" have started airing promos about the change of frequencies.
