Peak Broadcasting in Boise?

I've heard a rumor or two in the past week that Peak Broadcasting has purchased Clear Channel Boise. How is this owner different than the mighty CC? Does this owner think any changes need to be made to this cluster of stations?? How does Peak treat it's employees??

Does anyone see any format changes or old Boise radio personalities returning to the airwaves due to this change in ownership??

Are you sure you are not referring to Blue Point Media, a subsidiary of Marathon? They are buying most of the Montana/Idaho CC stations. Or is Boise not part of that deal? (We all need a scorecard to keep track of these CC sales!)

Peak Broadcasting is a new start-up company founded by Todd Lawley (?), who had been with Citadel for quite a while. He has already purchased the CBS stations in Fresno.

Blue Point/Marathon is based in Chicago and is ran by Chris Devine.

Peak Broadcasting CEO Todd Lawley was in Boise within the last week to ten days to check out the facilities. Blue Point purchased the Twin Falls/Pocatello/Idaho Falls Clear Channel stations a couple of months ago. Boise's CC stations were the top listed market at #105 when the break-up of CC's small market stations was announced.

Yes, I saw that confirmed today. Wonder if either Peak or Blue Point might be looking at the smaller CC markets in Washington and Oregon as well.

I worked with Todd Lawley some years back in Arizona. In my opinion, he's one of the most intelligent, fair and ambitious people I've ever met. I would be more than happy to work for him again some day.
