PEAK FRESNO

If people follow Lawley and like him, why hasn't there been a change in the managers and PD's in Fresno? - Everyone and his brother went to work for him in Boise and Tucson. One PD for three stations in Fresno, no hire for KMJ and the same APD as PD for KSKS. Where are the Citadel peops now.

If it aint broke, don't fix it. Peak Fresno has five stations. Four of them are rated in the top seven for both Adult 25-54 numbers and also top seven for sales (Miller Kaplan reports) The fifth is a format flip Y101 which is already a top 5 ststaion for W 25-54 and moving up in the Miller Kaplan as well. Nobody with a brain screws with that.

Oh that's right....They hired a Clear Channel GM from Grand Rapids to run KMJ and he wants to enhance the web experience for KMJ and they don't have a Web guy! Nice!

Maybe it's because Citadel had no presence in Fresno for people to jump stations from.

They hired that guy for KMJ because the old PD was retiring. Again, Peak Fresno seems to be fairly dominant in Fresno with the team they have.

Hey guys, Lawley is a very sharp dude and I'm sure has earned his stellar reputation. Todd and I worked together at CBS Radio Sales in the 90's and I was always extremely impressed with how intelligent the guy was. Plus, he's a great guy. In the early 90's, before we worked together, I managed a station in Fresno and became familar with the cmpetitive quirks of the market. Many things may have changed since then, but I'm sure it's still a daily dog fight. Todd was not running a station when we worked together, but I'm sure he's a brilliant operator. With the strong properties he's starting out with, I wouldn't take him lightly.

Todd does have some heavy debt load to pay off, and as Church suggested, no reason to hire new people if you don't need them.

And no, I'm not Todd's mom writing this note. Just a friend. If you talk to him, tell him Ponyboy said hi.
