Peeing In The Wind

Jim Pederson has more money than brains.

At least twice an hour Nurse Jeff and I hear his ad on KFWhyEye and wonder if his media buyer thinks 5~fifty listeners are that dumb. In the ad, Pederson's voiceover guy claims anyone who votes for Jon Kyl is supporting a Bush cheerleader.

The ad might work on a Beth & Bill approved station, but not KFWhyEye. Might as well run an ad promoting a Barbara Streisand/Dixie Chicks concert at the Clinton library with special guest star Harry Belafonte.

Pederson has already sunk $11m of his own dough into a job that pays $162,500 a year. Guess his bladder must really be full! :eek:

I love when a guy spends $11 million to tell you how he is just a regular guy and that he can't be bought....(especially since he bought everyone else)

My money is on the media buyer's bet that KFYI-Qs are that low.

And that's a bet someone is gonna lose!

The issue is not about the intelligence quotient of the KFYI listener, but rather about the KFWhyEye listener's political ideology. Think about the KFWhyEye lineup:

* Bruce "The Brooklyn Brawler" Jacobs (Hard-Core Conservative)
* The Nearly Bald One (Leans Libertarian, espouses Conservative values and ideas )
* Rush Limbuagh (Hard-Core Conservative)
* Sean Hannity (Hard-Core Conservative)
* Joe Crummey (Conservative)

Ok, you tell me, what does the KFWhyEye lineup tell you about the person who is listening to the station?? Yup, they are more likely than not...conservative voters.

Thank you for playing!!

What's the difference between that and Kyl buying time on the Fox 10 court block and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip? I imagine the audiences for those shows aren't exactly all conservative Republicans.

Gee, thanks for the lesson in the obvious.

Now, here's one for you: many conservatives (a) are going to vote democratic this year, and (b) listen to KFYI.

Pederson is not going to sway any hardcore KFYI KoolAid drinkers, but that's not who the ad is targetted at, is it?

We realize it's hard to pick up the nuances of Phoenix radio when you're swabbing the decks of the SS Minnow in Pt Hueneme. However, what makes Pederson's ad so noticeable on KFWhyEye is prior to this week he advertised on every other station except 5~fifty! Obviously his people think there's an opportunity for Pederson to score some votes from dissatisfied rank 'n file Republicans. And he might have done just that, but by suggesting a vote for Kyl makes you a cheerleader is where he consumed his own Kool-Aid.

As Nurse Jeff and I said earlier, Jim Pederson has more money than brains. And the CCU suits are more than happy to help him spend it!

btw...for a good chuckle, check out The Nearly Bald One's fake commercials for both Kyl and Pederson. The line about being a Poopyhead is a riot! ;D

Which do you prefer, the Goofy Grape or the Fruity Fruit?

I'm conservative, and I'm not voting democratic. In the Gov's race, I'm not voting, as Janet angers me, but Munsil is a religious talibornagain twit. I will vote for Goddard though, he has done a good job.

But Petersen? No way, the guy is [EDIT] Same goes for Harry (who's signs are those in my back yard) Mitchell.

[EDIT--vulgarity.]

Sure, there will be Republicans voting for democrats this year, but I doubt the percentage of KFWhyEye listeners who will vote democratic is extremely low. How low? Low enough that I wouldn't waste my money running Pederson adds on KFWhyEye on any of the shows I listed above. (That is why Dr. Akbar calls it "Peeing in the Wind.")

Saturday and Sunday? Sure, why not. But never during a weekday on morning, afternoon or evening drive.

Jim Pedersen....nobody's Senator right now, and certainly not on KFWhyEye. Please pass the KoolAid!!  ;)

Regardless of the outcome, Jim Pederson has sunk $11m of his own dough into the campaign. Jon Kyl, zero of his own bucks. Unless Pederson whips out his checkbook during the final week of campaigning, he's down to around $100k in the coffers. Meanwhile Jon Kyl is sitting on $3m for a last minute push.

Pederson's buy of KFWhyEye is a waste, but he may be buying points from the CCU suits and to bring 'em in they're throwing in 5~Fifty. No wonder The Nearly Bald One thinks Pederson is a big Poopyhead!

Don't like the choices this November?

:D Vote Dr Akbar 'n Nurse Jeff :D

Nobody's Senator, Governor or Mine Inspector but their own! :eek: :eek: :eek:

Hmmm... :-\ Pederson got 257857 votes in Maricopa County and Kyl got 339090.

I have to agree with the Middle Eastern Men of the Media...Jim Pederson had more money than brains.

:eek: $11 Million spent on his campaign and he's still nobody's Senator!!! ;D

Looks like Pederson's media buyer is the one drinking the Goofy Grape!! :p :p

You see the glass half full, I see you half assed.

By adding 550 KFI-Wannabe to his media buys, Pedersen doubtlessly made Kyl adjust his plans. It almost worked.

Kyl nearly lost, something no one would have predicted before the Pedersen spots ran on Monotalk 550.

Kyl nearly lost? Pederson conceded before the 10pm News...but you don't get Mc12 in Pt Hueneme, do you?

:eek: :eek: $12m of his own money down the drain...and Jim Pederson is STILL Nobody's Senator! :eek: :eek: Thanks for the dough, Jim XOX CCU Suits

Isn't it time for another convenient "bankruptcy" for old Jim to cover his campaign expenses?

:D

Low Blow!!! After this election he can "pick himself up" and start again.

He's toast and everyone knows it. Nappy goes for McCain's Senate seat in '08; Terry G battles Jan Brewer for GUV in '10; Sheriff Joe is appointed Top Cop for life, and KT'Rs Pat McBland will be replaced by Skip Rimza! Poor Jim..he'll just have to build some more supermarkets for Fat Eddie!

:eek: :eek: $12m of his own money and Jim Pederson is STILL nobody's Senator! :eek: :eek:
