Pending the beginning of the BJ Shea Morning Experience

Were we ever told to expect music in the mornings for these two holiday weeks? I was a wee bit surprised to not hear "Best of Stern" this morning. No "Best of BJ Shea" either. I wonder if this is a good move or a bad one.

I'm not sure what the idea is here either. I was able to hear the stream from KLSX in LA and they were doing Benjy's show/best of for Stern. T-Man wasn't on either which makes me wonder if he is in negotiations??? Not sure, but Seattle has no morning show for the remainder of the year it seems. G-A-Y... It's almost like Entercom is trying to find ways to piss off listeners and finding that they are really good at it. Thank God for options.

Before you guys say it... I know that T-Man is on a Clear Channel station. I'm just speaking in general about Entercom.

The Fall '05 rating period ended on Wednesday 12/14 and the Winter book doesn't start until Thursday 1/5. For obvious reasons, air personalities are encouraged to take as much of their vacation time as possible when they're not "in book".

That was Benjy's show? Or was it? I'd forgotten all about Benjy getting a shot to solo on-air. What I heard prompted me to turn the radio off immediately. Guess I'll have to check again tomorrow.

I get that shows are on vacation, but they normally do best of's or replays. Thats what I was curious about.

KISW is not the only station then...

However many hours down the road here in Portland, former Stern affiliate (and CBS Radio-owned) KUFO played music... no DJs, just music, promos, and some short commercial breaks.
In my personal listening opinion (meaning this is not professional discussion of the subject matter), this was the best weekday morning programming on KUFO since March 6, 1998... the date of the final Bill Prescott Morning Show.

Hmm... I should probably add that KUFO is transitioning to the Adam Carolla Show at the beginning of the year, but still the basic same thing... a radio station going from a talk morning show to another talk morning show, but playing music in the time between.<P ID="signature">______________
