Pens Down, Diaries Closed

The Spring book ended Wednesday night at 11:59:59. Spring book 12+ trends have been held in escrow. Some time in July, the report card will be released and if all parties are in, we'll see the 12+ results here. It will be the last complete book before Cumulus rolls the Citadel cluster into its portfolio. The anticipation builds.

Will Country WYRK continue to sweep all demos in the Buffalo market?

Will "WBEN on FM" do better than the Lake on FM, reaching those younger demos needed to pump new blood into WBEN's mostly 50+ shares. Will WBEN gain on FM be at the expense of AM?

Can 97 Rock rebound from a dreadful performance in the Winter book that many keyboard critics consider an aberration? Ditto WHTT, which faltered in 25-54 and came up surprisingly short 35-64.

And what about the AC cat fight. Will Joy finally find happiness and click with women 25-49 or will Star and Kiss continue to dominate the AC-CHR blend?

Will the Sabres limited playoff run cause WGR to swoon, as it usually does outside of Bills and Sabres season?

And most important, will W**K break a 1 share 12+.

So many questions, so many posters. Have at it. And please, no wagering.

I predict that if a certain person continues to post that there will be more W**K posts than actual listeners. :D

WECK BABY STEPS

WECK's first goal should be to try and build an audience that outnumbers the number of WECK posters on this board.

WECK's second goal should be to try and build an audience that outnumbers the number of WECK employees working in the WECK building

After that, it's icing.

(I do wonder how much larger their listening audience would be if they just did their shows with the studio window open?)

Aren't they next to a cemetary?

Is that what they call "dead air"???

"That signal is so strong, I can hear it inside a closed casket!" Hey, it's a captive audience. Favorite band: The Grateful Dead. Political affiliation: Silent majority. Rimshot, gray Fidelipac. Try the veal, they tell me it's special. And please, treat your server nicely. Who knew we'd come to a point where the "Stiffs" thread and "Official WECK" thread intersect?

Interesting. Are radio stations still broadcasting live from, or at least sending a promotions team over to Casino Niagara's second floor studio space?

It's a great place for WGR "Sports radio" 55 to be, sports betting and all!

Mike Schopp loves to gamble. He never actually says it on the air, but he strongly implies that he bets on everything from horses to jai-lai.
