Per LPFMDatabase.com: WTUS-LP Tuscaloosa to change ownership

WTUS-LP, 103.3 in Tuscaloosa AL has applied to change ownership from the Tuscaloosa Tourism And Sports Commission Inc. to the Tuscaloosa City Board Of Education

From no licensed high school radio stations in the state to three within a few years. (The others being WSMX-LP in Clanton and WVBC-LP in Bessemer.) I'd imagine that the station would still be available for traffic info during Tide home games.

I wish more schools would of applied for LPFM's. This would of been a great way to get students interested in radio. I also hope schools that have existing stations will continue to promote broadcasting to their students. I've heard a couple of cases where there was a lack of participation, or costs led to shutdowns.
