WALB in Albany was solely NBC. They got ABC in Albany from affiliates in other markets as they had no ABC self-contained of their own.

Umm... Albany did have ABC back then. Its called WSWG Channel 44, then known as WVGA. It was ABC from 1980-1992.
 
Yep, I did forget about that. It was after 44 lost ABC that Albany had to have it piped in.

Was WVGA ever carried in Albany proper? Most of the western half of the Albany market picked up WTVM on cable (and some areas are still able to pick it up OTA)
