Perseids Meteor Showers bring two new logs this afternoon 8/12/20

After having little to no luck on 'peak night' I went out on a drive this afternoon around Ellensburg/Kittitas, away from noise, and stumbled across multiple meteor scatter bursts including one that lasted over a minute. NEW logs!

94.1 - CIMG-FM Prince Albert, SK; with 'Summer of '69' Bryan Adams at 1418 PT (2:18PM) mixing with KSWD (which was in commercials). Playlist matched for that time. First new Saskatchewan station in a number of years. NEW #730, 100KW at 618 miles.
103.7 - KMHK Billings, MT; 'Learning to Fly' Tom Petty rapidly in and out with very weak KHTP Tacoma. Playlist matched. NEW #731, 100KW at 581 miles.

Also had an unid 94.1 with Jake Owen's 'Homemade', not KCLK. Pointed south, so maybe KDJJ NV. Also a Classical station kept fading in and out, and did so last night. Very very likely, 1000 watt KOOZ Myrtle Point OR (approx. 320 mi, would be my closest Ms). And a 95.1 UNID SSer likely KMLY CA.

Gonna try a little more this afternoon before work, but two new Ms logs is great! Love the Perseids!

Very nice logs! I happened to receive KLOS Los Angeles, KBFF Portland, and CHLB Lethbridge on 95.5 on my way back from Lewiston on that day. The last two are tropo/tropo scatter, but my log of CHLB was a first from home (I was really close to home so it goes in my home log). KBFF I received from Hatton Coulee (SR-26/US-395), Othello, and Moses Lake; new additions to the first two logs.

Nope, CHLB was meteor scatter for you. Had them during the '15 Perseids, was Alberta #1 on FM.
