Persky and Denoff

What ever happened to Bill Persky and Sam Denoff, the excellent writing/producing team that got their start in the Reiner/Leonard/Thomas stable of associates? They went from working with Andy Griffith and Dick van Dyke to take the "Gomer Pyle" spinoff, and also handled "That Girl," "Good Morning, World" and other shows.

Their work was immediately identifiable as theirs, and was among the absolute best of the sitcom genre.

I still wish "Good Morning, World" had caught on; it was,
along with "He And She," ahead of its time in being more
realistic than most late-'60s sitcoms; both would have thrived
had they come along after 1971, IMHO. I think both shows were
victims of incompatible lead-ins: Red Skelton for "Good Morning, World,"
and "Green Acres" for "He And She" (although it had been Dick Van Dyke's
lead-in in 1965-66).

And yes, I'm aware that "He And She" was not a Persky-Denoff show;
I mentioned it only because it and "GMW" were two of the best sitcoms
of 1967-68 and both deserved better.
