Pete Fornatale is ill

I read on Darren DeVivo's Facebook page that Pete Fornatale is ill. This was also reported on http://www.petefornatale.com/ . The nature and seriousness of the illness was not reported on either site. I certainly wish both him and Bob Shannon the best of health.

Pete Fornatale is one person who always frustrated me as I listened to him on WNEW-FM. I used to think, "How could a guy this good, have a voice so bad?"

This must be serious, and I wish him all the best from one who wishes he could continue to be frustrated.

I know Pete, a sweet guy, wishing him WELL and Bob Shannon too. I met Pete when he wrote his first book and he signed it for me. Pete and Bob both in my prayers!!!

WFUV 90.7 has been paying tribute to the former WNEW FM and K-Rock personality this afternoon on air and online. Included is some interesting rock music, of the type that Fornatale featured on his shows.
His Mixed Bag program, which reflected his very eclectic music tastes, was carried on Saturday afternoons by the station for about 11 years.

Very sad news indeed. He was certainly beloved by his listeners and was a credit to his profession. He will be sorely missed by his colleagues, friends, and listeners.
