Pete Ninniger at BBC

Hey Guys!!!

Lets stop the mudslinging and name calling for just a moment. One of our own had passed away. Pete Ninninger(sorry for the spelling), owner of Bristol Broadcasting, lost his battle with cancer earlier this week. Can we pause from our childish games for a moment of respect and prayer for his family and friends?

I just found out about the passing of Pete Nininger. I worked for Pete at 'XBQ, but really didn't know him that well. It's always sad to hear about the passing of one of our own. Condolences to Lisa and the rest of the family.

Mr. Pete pioneered some edgy formats in some pretty tough markets. And that doesn't begin to touch his well storied life. He is a radio legend in these parts. And I don't think he ever spoke one word "on the air." Quite an accomplishment, indeed. He will be missed, and already is. But he leaves behind a healthy and strong company that will continue to thrive under a bright new leadership. BBC is good people, and that was the heart of Mr. Pete. You better believe he will always be at the helm of his stations.

Pete was GREAT to work for. Some questionable people he took advice from, but I could never say a bad word about Pete. One of the few good souls of the radio biz. Hope the good ones over there are the ones to take the lead. He is one of the few who wouldn't sell to the "big boys". He's flying his plane in in another world. Godspeed Pete.
